Annual Poson Bhakthi Gee Evening of the Leicester Buddhist Vihara, was held on Sunday 11th June at Braunstone Civic Centre hall presented by pupils of Leicester Vihara Dhamma school.

The large gathering present were delighted to watch & appreciate the Annual Poson Bhakthi Gee Evening of the Leicester Buddhist Vihara, maintained by East Midlands Buddhist Association (EMBA), at Braunstone civic centre hall, presented by pupils of Leicester Vihara Dhamma school.

All credit for the outstanding success & popularity must collectively go to the meticulous guidance & leadership shown by the resident monk Ven. Marassana Sadhdhananda, all the parents of Leicester Vihara Dhamma school who bore all the costs, all the teaching staff, the presenters & the Band and EMBA committee and members.

Mr Samira Dayasekera from Sri Lankan High Commission was the chief guest who also gave away the certificates to the successful dhamma school pupils.

The beautiful spread of popular ‘Bathi Gee’ sung by the pupils were presented to the audience by the volunteer presenters- Lakmali Welagedera, Kosala Mendis and Tina Fernando. Sangeeth, Suran, Waruni, Benji, Joshua & Nithish( all volunteers) formed the Band to complement the singing.
