Birmingham Buddhist Maha Vihara has commemorated 60th death anniversary of their late leader Dr.B.R.Ambedkar

Members of Indian Buddhist community who belong to Birmingham Buddhist Maha Vihara has commemorated 60th death anniversary of their late leader Dr.B.R.Ambedkar under the able guidance of Ven.Dr.W.Kassapa and Ven.Kapilawastu Tejwant. In 1956 he was converted in to Buddhism which took place in Nagpur India on 16th of 1956. Late Dr.B.R.Ambedkar who drafted Indian constitution as well as the first law minister of India after British rule took lead to fight against caste system in Indian society.

According to his leadership well over half a million down trodden Hindus embraced Buddhism along with their leader as Buddhism is against caste and inequality.
