Inauguration Ceremony of the Siri Sadaham Buddhist Monastery in Buckinghamshire

Siri Sadaham Buddhist Monastery in Buckinghamshire was ceremonially inaugurated on the 1st of January 2018 under the patronage of His Excellency Mr Sugeeshwara Gunaratna, the Deputy High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in the United Kingdom and the participation of several hundred devotees from the surrounding areas, at a charm religious event organised to mark this historic occasion

The event was presided over by the resident monk of the monastery, Vinayaachaarya, Saddharmaachaarya, Royal Pandith Venerable Dodamgoda Siri Sumedha Thero, who is a renowned Sri Lankan Buddhist monk in the United Kingdom. Mr Nalin Perera, representative of the Sri Lanka Tourism Board in the United Kingdom also attended the event. The event also coincided with the Duruthu Full Moon Poya Day.
