For the 4th consecutive year, there was a colourful and successful vesak celebration in North London which was organized by Abhayarama Vidarshana Meditation Centre, Enfield. This allowed many people to observe eight precepts, see various types of vesak lanterns, vesak pandols and, participate the activity of buddha worship and almsgiving.
Children from Sri Sobhitha Sunday school along with adults came for vesak sil programme in the day time and, many devotees participated bodhi pooja programme in the evening time. There were two vesak pandols as well as dozens of beautiful vesak lanterns displayed to public at the venue of St. Michael's Primary school, Enfield.
Vesak 2017 was ended up with almsgiving activity (Dansala) which offered rice, different types of curries, srilankan type of roasted breads and ice cream. Everything was succeeded with the support, advice and guidance of Royal Pandit Ven. Panamure Thapassee Thero, chief incumbent of Abhayarama Vidarshana Meditation Centre, Enfield.
